In the age of e-learning, we are constantly losing touch with our grass roots. The practical side of learning often gets restricted in confined classrooms and laboratory experiments. Children are becoming far removed from the frugal way of life and developing distorted ethics.
Takshashila Gurukul Public School is an attempt to reverse the banes of modern learning by tracing back the roots to our ancient techniques of learning. Located on a vast expanse of land in Shikrapur Pune, near the industrial town of Ranjhangaon, Takshashila Gurukul Public School aims at providing students a slice of simple living juxtaposed with modernity. The school is being modelled on the ancient Gurukul style, spoken much highly of in our Vedas and Puranas. A frugal lifestyle is inculcated in the school so that students develop a sound value system coupled with appreciation for simpler things in life.
Despite propagating a simple living, Takshashila Gurukul Public School is not removed from modern times. The school follows the modern and up-to-date CBSE curriculum and has qualified and experienced teachers to impart lessons. The planning of lessons and assignments is done to compel students to chug their thought processes and put their imagination and creativity into play. Well stocked libraries, audio and video rooms and computer and media rooms have been built to support a child on his quest for knowledge.
The needs of every child are looked after. Adequate sporting facilities, infirmary and counselling sessions are provided at the school for the well-being of students. Takshashila Gurukul Public School believes in grooming students to chalk a successful life graph armed with sound foundation in righteous value systems and life lessons.
