  • Well-Equipped Classrooms Open or Close

    The classrooms at Takshashila Gurukul Public School have been designed appropriately for every age group. Playgroup and Nursery classes have colourful project boards, age approprite activities and flash cards displayed for effective visual learning.

    The rooms are well lit, airy and spacious enough for your children. Furniture around the room has been placed strategically to make the layout child friendly. Every room is decorated in colourful paints and artwork to make students feel excited about attending class every day.

    Music is an integral part of the process of learning and our students are regularly imparted music lessons. The music room is stocked with CDs and music books. Various activities have been designed for children involving music to inculcate their love for the art and also make it educative.

  • Outdoor Play Area Open or Close

    TGPS lays emphasis on Outdoor Play and it has been incorporated as an impotant domain in the curriculum. As everyone is aware, outdoor play is very important for proper physical and motor development in a child. Students at Takshashila Gurukul Public School indulge in sports and games on the outdoor play area under the watchful eyes of the teacher.

  • Water Play and Sand Pit Area Open or Close

    All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Apart from academics, TGPS believes in giving a holistic environment filled with fun to all children. The Water Play and Sand Pit Area have been especially created for making learning fun for children. Children can splash in water on hot summer days and build castles in sand in our sand pit area.

    Takshashila Gurukul Public School’s garden is a well maintained one consisting of a variety of flowering shrubs and bushes. Children are sometimes brought down to the garden for class visits to help them learn of various plants and flowers.

  • Audio Visual Room Open or Close

    The Audio Visual Room has been created in our school for assisting our children learn via the visual and aural media. Students are brought in from time to time to watch CDs pertaining to various subjects. The room has a large stock of CDs and DVDs to aid students with the process of learning. Occasionally, movies are screened in the room too as a special treat for students.

  • Computer and Media Room Open or Close

    Takshashila Gurukul Public School has a computer and media room on campus for imparting knowledge to students regarding the use of technology. Aside from computers and printers, the room has been stocked with educative CDs and learning materials. Teachers bring in students belonging to different classes for acquainting them with the use of computer and other technological marvels.

  • Library with Reading Hall Open or Close

    Every school has a library and ours is no different. Students can issue books from the vast library on campus for reading at home or in the library’s reading hall. Apart from books, the library is well stocked with CDs, journals, e-books, newspapers and magazines. It is a quiet space where discipline is maintained at all times to enable scholars to gain the most out of their reading time in the library. Every year, newer books are added to the library in various subjects that would enable their process of learning. The books are arranged catalogue-wise for easy reference.

  • Role Play Area Open or Close

    The role play area has been conceptualized as a vent for the creative energies of our students. Under the aegis of various teachers, students enact situations and plays after interpreting them in their own way. Teachers are highly involved in these dramatic performances as they help students understand the nuances of various characters and emote better. Dramatization and role plays are conducted here for piquing the interest of students in performing arts.

  • Child Friendly and Child Safe Premises Open or Close

    The campus of Takshashila Gurukul Public School has been made completely child safe and friendly. Sharper edges have been worn down in objects to keep children from hurting themselves. Guards have been posted at every gate of the school for monitoring incomers and out goers. Caregiving staff and teachers have been particularly trained in dealing with different child related situations. In case of emergency, the school staff will make every effort to contact you.

  • Art and Craft Room Open or Close

    The art and craft room is where students express themselves through their handiwork. Children sit together to work on their assignments during art sessions. The art n craft activities are displayed for all to see on the soft boards around the room. The room is a colourful one and decorated with paintings and drawings which reflect the true purpose of the room.

  • Toddler Play Area Open or Close

    Play builds imagination! The toddler play area is a secially designed area for children between the age group 9 months to 1.5 years. This area helps toddlers develop their imaginative skills through educational toys. Soft play helps children develop their motor skills.

  • Vegetable Patch Open or Close

    Children are taught the value of farming and agriculture through a small section of our vegetable garden. They are taught the importance of food and caring and growing vegetables. Children plant their own vegetables and experience the life cycle from plantation of a seed to a full grown plant. They also use these vegetables in the class during their cooking experience sessions.

  • Animal Corner Open or Close

    Learning by Exploring! Instead of showing our Flora and fauna just on flash cards and pictures, how better would a child learn when he sees it live in front of them. we have a live Animal corner where animals are nurtured and children can watch them eat, grow and give birth to young ones.

Nature Walk

Nature Walk was conducted on 8th August, 2014. We took the students for a nature walk in the school premise, where teachers showed the students various plants, trees, flowers in and around the school. Teacher played games with the students. Red Day

Red Day was conducted on 13th August 2014, where the students were dressed in Red Coloured Dresses. Teacher showed them various things (apple, red rose, cherries, strawberries etc.) which are Red in colour. Teacher asked students to colour the worksheets (apple).Read More..
